A Look at Austin's 2015 Philanthropy Day

I love Philanthropy Day, a day where Austin comes together and celebrates fundraisers and all we do to keep the lights on at nonprofits city-wide. I've been tremendously impressed with how the event has grown to reflect the thriving nonprofit scene in Austin. 

Austin is a budding city experiencing a lot of growing pains. It has been an exciting experience working with nonprofits trying to scale programs to meet the rising demand and increased capacity we're expected to have. It is good to step back and recognize the role fundraisers have in solving our community's problems. 

P.S. I was also very excited to see we made our way into the Keep Austin Giving Blog (presented by St. David's Foundation). Great to enjoy the day with my CEO and to catch up with one of my favorite advocacy gurus!
