Brooklyn Botanical Gardens

Recently I had the opportunity to visit the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens in the midst of tulip bloom. The colors, weather, and fragrance was fantastic. 

Children under 12 can visit for free, and the cost is well worth it. From several varieties of cherry blossoms, tulips, an oriental garden, greenhouse, and several varieties of lilacs, it is an oasis in an otherwise concrete jungle.
