Paris is always a good idea

As a little girl, I remember growing up watching the movie Sabrina, which begins with a delicate, intriguing piano melody and a woman softly saying "Paris is always a good idea."

She's right.

After spending several autumn weeks in Paris, I would go back in a moment's notice at any moment. From crisp fall air to some of the best food I'll ever eat, Paris was a transformational experience. Highlights included Versailles, the Paris Opera House, the Paris Ballet Company's performance of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker, the Musee D'Orsay, an evening atop the Eiffel Tower, the Sacre Cour, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and so many amazing cafes. Paris is truly, utterly, and emphatically a good idea.
