On Fleet

Austin has a tremendous cafe scene for coffee lovers, particularly on the city's affordable East Side. Within a five minute drive, I can be at Cuvee, Bennu, Figure 8 Coffee Purveyors, Vintage Heart, and now Fleet.

Quietly tucked away from the rush of E. 7th street, Fleet Coffee is located just off of Webberville and 8th. - across the street from the new home to Dog and Duck pub. The narrow, well designed space offers the typical decor you'd expect in a trendy coffee shop - subway tile, natural wood counters, stamped little white cups, and tons of natural light. The baristas know their coffee. While they have a few varieties, I'll learn toward Madcap every time.

While I haven't tried the Sunday Morning Ritual, I've heard nothing but wonderful comments about the fruity Pebble Infused Milk latte. It sounds like it is something lovers of the Summermoon latte could enjoy.
